Muirfield Computer Services Pty Ltd is an environmentally responsible corporate citizen and we are very aware of the impact the products we sell can have on our precious environment.
Muirfield undertakes various waste management strategies to ensure the impact of our business on the environment is kept to a minimum.
Printer Consumables Waste
In an effort to minimize the waste to landfill of products such as Laser Toner Cartridges, Ink-Jet Cartridges, Fuser Kits, Drum Kits etc we have established a relationship with Close The Loop’s Cartridges 4 Planet Ark program. For several years now we have been involved in this recycling program that ensures that there is no waste to landfill.
Located in the Reception area of our service centre is a Drop-Off Box for this recycling program, we encourage our customers to deposit their empty consumables into this box or alternatively our Service Technicians will be happy to collect your waste products when visiting your site.
Cardboard Waste
During normal operations Muirfield collects a large amount of packaging material made from cardboard, through our relationship with Visy Recycling we have a large 660 litre bin on site for the collection of cardboard. This bin is collected by Visy Recycling on a regular basis for processing, this ensures that our cardboard waste is diverted away from landfill.
Muirfield encourages our suppliers and customers to engage in similar environmentally responsible practises, for further details please visit http://www.closetheloop.com.au and http://www.visy.com.au
Computer & Monitor Recycling
Muirfield Computer Services Pty Ltd has engaged South West Community Services for the distribution of reconditioned computer and monitor equipment which we have aquired as a result of customer upgrades and repairs. Muirfield staff ensure that all customer data is removed from hard disks and refresh the system’s operating so that this equipment can be utilized by community groups, sports clubs and other not-for-profit organisations.
Muirfield encourages everyone to consider the potential usage of your old equipment by others, feel free to drop your old equipment into our Service Centre for distribution shortly after by South West Community Services.
