Warranty Returns

Muirfield Computer Services Pty Ltd provides a full 12 Month warranty coverage on all products sold. We understand equipment failure can be a frustrating experience, that is why we aim to provide you with a fast turn around for faulty goods and expert after sales support for returned goods deemed serviceable.

What to do when you suspect you have a faulty piece of equipment:

1) Lodge a support request via our Contact page detailing the item's problem, please also include your Order or Tax Invoice number and a brief description of your system configuration (ie. Processor, Memory, Operating System etc) to assist us in offering accurate support. If our service technicians determine that your item does appear to be faulty we will raise a R.A. (Return Authority) number for your items return.

2) Package the item to ensure that no damage will be caused to the item upon return to us and return the item to:

Ensure that you include a copy of any correspondance you have had with our support staff, quote the R.A. number that we have assigned your item and include a copy of your Tax Invoice as proof of purchase for your item.

3) We will keep you informed about your product return by email and advise when collection arrangements can be made.

Please Note: All shipping costs for returned items are the responsibility of the purchaser, items determined to be non-faulty may incur a testing fee of $33 (inc GST). Goods that are returned to MCS with unpaid freight costs will not be accepted. Faulty goods will not be refunded, a replacement item will be supplied only.

What to do if the item is critical to your business:

If you need a replacement item urgently we suggest you buy a replacement from us and then follow the standard returns procedure. We will arrange a credit for the returned item once we have confirmed it's fault, please ensure that all items for credit are returned complete including manuals, driver CDs and original packaging. A credit may not be approved if the item is not returned in it's original condition.

Warranty returns for Printers, Laptops and Monitors:

Warranty on many of these items are covered directly by their manufacturer, most of which have repairers nationwide. Please consult your owner's manual for contact details and procedures.

Should you have a warranty claim on an EPSON or Brother printer Muirfield Computer Services Pty Ltd can conduct authorised warranty repairs on these items at no charge to you.

In the case of a Dead/Zero/Bright pixel warranty claim on an LCD monitor we suggest you consult the monitor's user manual for the manufacturer's policy and return procedures.

What to do with goods outside our warranty that are still covered by a Factory Warranty:

Some goods have an extended warranty from their manufacturer (eg. Intel CPU have a 3 year warranty). Should you require Muirfield Computer Services Pty Ltd to act on your behalf when claiming a Factory Warranty you may incur a $25 service fee along with any freight charges that we incur.
