Muirfield Computer Services P/L is a second generation family owned and operated business situated in the western suburbs of Melbourne operating from a factory complex in Hoppers Crossing, approximately 18 minutes from the central business district. The company has been operating in the computer industry since 1986. Our focus is on providing the superior technical services for individuals and organisations requiring a very wide range of equipment, services or support.
The organisation is divided into 3 areas: OEM Manufacturing, Service and Support, and Retail Sales.
OEM Manufacturing
The OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manufacturing operation consists of a "Build to Order" facility with a capacity of approximately 200 PCs per month. All components used in this process are sourced from local distributors and wholesalers.
Our ability to select a range of components from different manufacturers gives greater flexibility, quicker response times and the ability to revise the build order in the event of component shortages, manufacturing defects, compatibility or premature component failure.
To maintain the highest level of quality extensive testing is carried out on all components to confirm quality, performance, compatibility and serviceability prior to production.
Service and Support
Muirfield Computers Services has an extensive maintenance facility at our factory complex in Hoppers Crossing. We are able to carry out chip level repair of most computer components and peripherals including motherboards, power supplies monitors and printers etc.
The ability to carry out extensive maintenance in our workshop dramatically improves the turn-around time of repaired equipment, and also minimises client down time.
Muirfield Computers is an Authorised Epson Care Centre and warranty repair centre for the Brother range of printers. We are able to repair many brand name products such as Compaq, Toshiba, NEC, and Hewlett-Packard and carry a wide range of spare parts to service and upgrade.
We can also provide On-Site service and support agreements with priority callout to suit the customer's requirements.
Muirfield is able to co-ordinate the implementation of small to large networks for all types of applications, whether it be for a small office environment or a large multi-location wide area network with connectivity to the Internet and other external networks.
Muirfield Computer Services support Microsoft operating systems including Windows NT, 2000, 2003, Terminal Server, 95/98 and XP. Microsoft BackOffice products are amongst the large array of software our staff specializes in. Muirfield's Network Engineers are trained and accredited by Microsoft including MSCE certification.
Muirfield Network Solutions can manage all phases of network implementation including system design, hardware acquisition, cabling installation, equipment deployment, system development and maintenance. With the increasing development of the Internet, businesses now require access to services such as the World Wide Web and Email across their entire network, Muirfield can provide these facilities through the use of many different hardware and software options depending on the requirement of the customer.
Intranet and Internet website authoring are amongst the many services that we can provide. Muirfield Network Solutions has developed relationships with providers of e-commerce facilities, graphic artists and other web-related specialists and can assist in the design of your website.
The installation of network cabling is also a service provided by Muirfield with our own staff capable of Category 5e (UTP) installations. The configuration of Routers for use with ISDN and ADSL connections for Wide Area Networking is yet another service Muirfield Computer Services can provide to its customers.

In addition to our web-based Online Store, Muirfield Computer Services operates a retail sales outlet from our Service Centre in Hoppers Crossing. Our sales staff provide assistance to the general public and are available to corporate clients for account management and advice where necessary.
We carry a large stock of popular hardware, software, peripherals and components in addition to offering products from a range of manufacturers.
