We have received a number of calls today relating to ADSL internet outages right across the state of Victoria.
Upon further investigation we have confirmed via this link that Westnet is also reporting the fault which is apparently being caused by an upstream provider.
At this time no rectification timeline is being published however we would expect ADSL services to reconnect automatically at our customer’s sites once this issue is resolved.
Affected customers will most likely experience delays with mail delivery and the inability to surf the www during this outage.
UPDATE: This issue appears to have been rectified, our clients are reporting that their services are operational again and Westnet has also removed their outage notice.

This evening we have successfully migrated our web, email, database and spam filtering servers over to new fileserver hardware.
These upgrades are designed to provide greater performance, scalability and reliability whilst also enabling us to roll out a number of exciting new services in the very near future.
Our decision to virtualize Muirfield’s hosting environment also allows us to reduce the carbon footprint of our datacentre by lowering the number of physical servers required by over 50%.
We have also taken this opportunity to rebrand our Quarantine interface to reflect the look of our HelpDesk system in addition to offering a more feature-rich Webmail interface.
Please feel free to contact our support team should you wish to offer any feedback or discuss any issues you may be experiencing as a result of these upgrades.
